ABOUT US

Grainland Farmers is a newly formed cooperative in Central Illinois after the merger of Roanoke Farmers and Grainland Cooperative in July of 2023.  Grainland Farmers is proud to serve over 1,900 customers throughout central Illinois at nine modern facilities.  Our facilities are located in Armington, Benson, El Paso, Emden, Eureka, Minier, Morton, Roanoke, and Wenona.  We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and top-notch facilities that accommodate our farmers in a safe, efficient manner.  Our goal is to offer excellent service at competitive rates.

Our total storage capacity at all nine locations is over 43 million bushels.  We handle corn, soybeans, and wheat.  We offer corn drying and storage on all the commodities we handle.  Our locations are equipped with high speed dumping and drying equipment.  Our goal is to move our customers through our facilities and back to the combine as quickly as possible, while maintaining long consistent hours.

Our Eureka facility has shuttle loading capability on the TPW railroad with a track capacity of 120 cars.   We can connect to all seven major rail lines which gives us access to all markets on land in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.  Our Emden facility has rail loading capacity on the CN railroad with a track capacity of 25 cars.  It can reach feed demand points in the Southeast, the Gulf, and local processors. Grain out of our truck facilities is shipped to local processors or brought into Eureka where it is shipped via shuttle trains.

The following is some history on our two companies prior to the 2023 merger.

In July 1999, Farmers Grain Cooperative of Eureka and Secor Elevator Company merged and formed Grainland Cooperative.  Prior to this, El Paso had merged into Secor Elevator Company.  In August 2014, Minier Cooperative Grain Company merged with Grainland Cooperative.  Prior to this, Minier Cooperative acquired the Armington facility in the early 1970’s.  Then, in July 2007, Emden merged in with Minier Cooperative.

In July 1999, Roanoke Farmers acquired the Benson and Wenona facilities.  In July 2007, Roanoke Farmers acquired the Morton facility.

Through all these mergers and acquisitions the goals have always remained the same.  We want to provide unmatched customer service, facilities, and markets for our central Illinois customers.  We thank you for your patronage and look forward to serving you long into the future.
