Broiler/Fryer:  Daily National Broiler Market at-a-Glance

Whole broiler/fryer prices are trending mostly steady in all
areas.  Offerings of all sizes are light to moderate for 
current trade requirements.  Demand into retail and food 
service channels is moderate to good, best where ads are 
active entering the weekend.  Processing schedules are normal 
to reduced. Floor stocks are balanced.  Market activity is 
mixed, but mostly moderate.  In the parts structure, prices 
are steady to firm for dark meat items, and mostly firm for 
wings, tenders, and boneless skinless breasts. Offerings of 
wings, tenders, and boneless skinless breasts are tight with 
premiums paid to obtain product.  All other white meat items 
are light to moderate.  Dark meat items are well cleared to 
available, aided by export business.  Market activity for parts 
is moderate to active. In production areas, live supplies are 
moderate to heavy. Weights are mixed, but mostly desirable to heavy.
